WHAT TO EXPECT
Please be aware that the worship service, sanctuary, order of service, and a variety of other characteristics will be different from what one might remember when compared to pre-pandemic practices.
Comfort Indication Stickers: as you enter the sanctuary or VICARS you will have the opportunity to obtain one of two stickers. If you would like to shake hands, hug, touch elbows, and participate in other forms of physical contact, place a green sticker on your shirt. If you are not yet comfortable with physical contact, place a red sticker on your shirt. Please DO NOT initiate physical contact with anyone wearing a red sticker and do not be offended if someone choses to wear a red sticker.
Offering: collection plates will not be passed. You can give your offering to a Property & Finance team member as you enter or leave the sanctuary, or through the five methods used throughout the time our services were suspended.
Bulletins: we will not distribute bulletins for the service. Announcements will be made verbally and/or shown on the digital wall.
Communion: the elements will not be passed from aisle to aisle on first Sundays. The deacons will place the Communion elements in the back of the pews in the sanctuary and provide a place for you to pick them up inside of the VICARS building.
Seating: our sanctuary is now simultaneously a studio. The view from your favorite seat might be blocked by a camera and/or media team member.
Childcare/Nursery: childcare will not be provided and the nursery is closed until further notice.
Student Ministries: Community Kids (ages 6-11) and the Middle School Ministry (ages 12-14) will gather online only until further notice. CK meets online on Mondays from 6:30-7:00pm and the MSM meets on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30pm.
Sunday School: Sunday school will remain in hiatus until further notice.
Anointing/Altar Call: there will not be an immediate return of physical anointing or invitation to discipleship that encourages gathering.
Dismissal: worshippers will be dismissed in sections to avoid crowding and gathering near the exits. Please stay in your seat until you are dismissed and immediately exit the building. We kindly ask that you socialize outside the building.
